I have been trying to find a priming slurry product like the Marshalls product in the States with no luck. I have resorted to mixing my own with a Sika product and cement. It does settle out during the day and requires re-mixing but appears to work.

Great video - this is very similar to my patio. How clean do the joints need to be before repointing? Did you clean out the little stones and debris shown on the close up at 2:48 or just apply the joint it straight on top?

I think you did the right thing here you just need to make sure the sub base is nice and permeable too, sometimes a sub base of 20 to dust compressed well barely drains at all then the water just pool below
